On September 26, Liance partner Jacobien Viets spoke at the JDW Congress (Lawyers for a Sustainable World) about nature-inclusive governance within companies.
Together with Jessica den Outer ✊🌳⚖️, Tineke Lambooy, and Saskia Laseur, she highlighted the theme “Rights of Nature,” the fastest-growing legal movement of the 21st century.
Jacobien introduced the Onboarding Nature Toolkit, which helps companies give nature a voice as an important stakeholder. This toolkit offers four models: nature as an inspiration, advisor, director/commissioner, and shareholder.
